February started one of the hardest, most confusing frustrating months of our entire marriage. We started talking about the chance of maybe moving back north, we would be closer to family, that is where we have always talked about winding up in the long run and we were finally in a place that it could be a reality. I am home with Tag so I can be anywhere and with Jason's schooling now online we started talking about getting a job transfer with IHC and moving. Everything went really fast at first. We stared talking about it on a whim and started watching the job boards. Soon (like within a week) two very promising jobs were posted at MckayDee hospital in Ogden and we decided to send in resumes for both of them (one on the cardiac unit and the other in the ER) We figured that it would start to put Jason's name into the system and maybe by this coming summer we would be able to get a transfer and head north. Little did we know that he was going to make it past the initial hiring round and ended up with a phone interview for both jobs the following week. We still thought it was a long shot but started trying to figure out if we could really make the move this soon. It was a lot sooner than we were thinking and even moving in general was still kind of a thought more than an actual plan. Jason interviewed for both positions and with in the next week after that was offered, get ready... BOTH positions! Oh my! Now what! We were so confused as to which job he should take (cardiac is where he works in St. Goerge so he would be walking into something familiar but he has always talked about wanted to work in the ER so that would be an exciting new experience!) We battled back and forth thinking that we would for sure take one of them but couldn't decide on which so we set up walk threws with both floor managers and headed up north to make a decision on a job and start house hunting. In just 2-3 short weeks we had gone from possibly thinking that it would be fun to be back up north by family to heading to meet potential new bosses and looking at houses. Jason met with both of the managers and of course really liked both. We drove probably 700 miles within Davis and Weber county trying to find where we would want to move, prayed maybe 10,00 times for guidance, and shed multiple tears in frustration of not being able to decide what to do! Both jobs gave us two weeks from the walk threw to give them a final decision and both of them also would be willing to wait and let us move in the spring between spring and summer semester so that we weren't trying to move in the middle of school. Both positions also would have given us a raise from what we were making in St. George and we would be closer to family! This was everything that we had ever asked for and more and yet we were so confused and frustrated we couldn't make up our minds! The decision consumed our every thought and conversation! The day that we needed to give the jobs answers was quickly approaching! Two weeks had gone by and we still had no decision! We were sure we wanted to move but why was picking a job so confusing! The night before we were to give the new positions an answer as to which one we were planning on taking Jason and I sat in the living room together for the thousandth time after putting Tag to be knowing that we had to make a decision. Our time was up and we needed to decide! Jason suggested that we pray together one more time and see if we could find a little clarity. By now it was past midnight as we knelt together in the living room and prayed for guidance and help in making such a life altering decision! By the time Jason had finished praying we had both received an answer (luckily the same one otherwise who knows what we would have done!?1) We were supposed to turn down BOTH jobs. We were supposed to stay in St. George. We were a little shocked but even more than that we were FINALLY after a month of turmoil at peace! We laid down to sleep that night grateful to a loving Heavenly Father who helped us in our time of need and comforted us with reassurance of what we needed to do. By 9:00 the next morning we had called both floor managers and thanked them profusely for the offers but let them know that we were going to be staying in St. George. We then called both of our families which was even harder and told them the news as well. They were all shocked convinced that we were for sure coming but happy for us and that we had made the decision that was best for our family! This months post blends into March as well because it was early March before we had made a final decision but I wanted to write the whole story in one place so that we would have this crazy experience recorded in our history. We are not sure still why we were supposed to stay in St. George but we do know that this is where we are supposed to be and are grateful for the growth of our testimonies through this trial!
Now on to some pictures of our handsome boy who makes everyday an adventure!
Daddy cuddles!
Silly Boy!
Mommy cuddles! Seriously this kid does occasionally takes naps in his crib however Jason and I are both suckers for his sleepy cuddles and he often times naps with us! (Lucky kiddo!)
Swinging at the park! (notice his bruise on his forehead from falling into the side table)
Dinner at The Habit Burger one evening! I think we sat outside for 3 hours discussing what on earth we were going to do with our lives! Ahh the stress of this month and that dang decision really kind of took over!
Sitting up in his sleep! Jason and I were both sleep walkers and this kiddo is already showing signs of following right in our footsteps! I am sure we are in for some eventful nights with this kiddo if he is eve n half as bad as Jason and I both were!
This is another time that he sat up in his sleep and then quickly fell back asleep lol - forgot to lay down and just folded in half!
Mobile baby!!
Tag has been mobile for quite some time and is really fast! He doesn't really crawl though, he kind of does this funny inch worm motion! haha It works for him I guess!
Reading!
Playing with a little guy his age at church!
This was a fun mommy and Tag day! The sun was shining through the blinds making patterns on the wall and Tag thought it was pretty cool. He and I spent about 30 minutes playing with the sun! It is the little moments that truly count! I LOVE being a stay-at-home-mommy and wouldn't trade it for anything!
Tag and Jason both got sick this month and we had to have a little daddy-son doctor's visit. Jason completely lost his voice (like literally not a peep, we are thinking it was stress induced and he ended up with bronchitis.) Tag had a really bad cough and we were worried that he was getting croup again but luckily we were able to keep it to just a bad cold.
Jason being a goof ball while he was supposed to be relaxing and getting feeling better!
Low rider!
Happy baby! And look at those curls! His hair is getting SO long!
Tag broke Jason's work badge. He loves to pull on it as far as he can and then let go so it zips back to Jason super quick....tonight he apparently pulled a little too hard though and broke it!
Watching the Olympics with mommy while daddy is at work! We LOVED watching the Olympics this year! It was especially being home as much as I am now because I got to see a lot more than I have ever been able to see in the past!
This corn dog truck just opened in St. George and they are delicious! We have had multiple lunches here lately! They are delicious!
Watching more Olympics with this happy kiddo!!
I am in the middle of working on a quiet book for Tag's birthday. It had been A LOT of work but I am loving how it is all coming together!! There are the finger puppets that go with the barnyard page!
Peek-a-boo! Anything this kiddo can get his hands on these days turns into a day of peek-a-boo!
Peek!
Happy baby on Valentines day! Tag and I are at the chiropractor in this photo. This was his second visit. A few weeks after Tag was born he was diagnosed with reflux. He has had to take meds everyday because of this and lately it just seemed to be getting worse. We had upped his meds and he was still spitting up 15-20 times a day. We had read in a few placed that chiropractors can help a ton with reflux but I was really hesitant. Lately it had been so bad though that we decided to give it a shot. Let me tell you, I am now a believer! After his first visit he went from spitting up 15-20 times a day to spitting up 5-6 times a day. After his second appointment he would maybe throw up once every few days and after his third appointment he never spit up really ever again and we were pleased enough with the results that the chiropractor said we didn't need any more appointments unless it started to come back. Tag has been a completely different kiddo and we have loved not having him spit up constantly. He is still on his meds for now but we are hoping we can cut them out soon!
Heart Breaker!
Playing with mommy and daddy at the park! Jason and I joked how much life changes! Jason had to work on Valentine's and had the night before that as well so when he got up we grabbed some lunch, went to the park and then enjoyed a heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphey's before he headed back in to work! Romantic right!?!
Love my mini date!
Tag loves the park and it is getting warm enough again that we get to spend time outside quite often!

Peek!
Tag's 9 month/Valentines day photos! I love how they turned out!
Tag loves to drink out of mommy and daddy's cups!
Tag loves to drink out of mommy and daddy's cups!
Mischievous little kiddo playing under the side table!
Bath baby with a red cheek from slipping and hitting his face on the side table. (right after I took the picture above...poor kiddo!)
Love this man! He works so hard to support us!
Home show! We love going to the home show every year and this year did not disappoint! We were a little worried about how Tag would do but he honestly loved it! Looking at all the houses was fun for Jason and I and Tag just loved seeing all the people!
More home show fun!
Tag loved the fire pit at this house!
Family photo by the fire!
Jason had to get a picture with the Burton truck. Sometime him working there and just our life in Logan all together feel like they were a million years ago!
Lunch in between homes!
Such a big boy!
Teaching him the alphabet...may as well start young right!?
More play time with Haven!
Opening a package from uncle Steve and aunt Heather!
"Girls dig chubby dudes!" Haha too funny!
The most simple things can be toys! Today we made a hat for Tag out the the newspaper and he thought it was great! Sometimes it makes me wonder why we spend money on real toys!
More bruises! Seriously learning to walk and get into everything I swear means he has a new bruise almost everyday! My mom told me that Grandma Marie used to say that there wasn't a day in my dad's childhood that there wasn't a bruise in the middle of his forehead! I guess this kid is taking his middle name to heart and following in his Papa's footsteps!
More nap time cuddles!
Playing in the mirror at Target with daddy!
Happy boy!
This is a quote that I really came to love this month as we had such a hard time with making decisions about jobs. I love that our church leaders always have the perfect way of putting things!
I put Tag to bed this evening and then jumped in the shower. Apparently A few minutes after I had gotten in the shower Tag started crying to Jason went in to rock him. I love watching these two together! As much as I love being a mom, I love just as much watching Jason be a dad!
Love my baby boy!
Today tag figured out that there was a space just his size between the couch and the wall. He quickly realized soon after however that he doesn't know how to crawl in reverse! haha I got a kick out of this! He was convinced that he was stuck forever!
Yummy noodles!
