April 2014

April! April was a month that we will never forget! Our little man turned one and I am pretty sure that this entire month we celebrated him! It is so hard to believe that it has been a year since we had Tag! Jason and I have grown so much this last year as parents and know that we are so blessed to be able to raise this crazy, energetic, rambunctious, sweet, hilarious little man! We love you Tag! Thank you for making us parents!

Lunch with Daddy at his favorite sub shop that just opened in St. George! There were Firehouse Sub shops in Jason's mission and he was so excited when they announced that there was one opening here!
Temple quarry hike for family night!

An evening walk with a pit stop at the park!
Family Sunday cuddles!
I've been spotted! haha I love peeking in on Tag when he sleeps but I guess he has discovered my secret!
Scion Hamster - We were out to dinner one evening and they were doing a radio broadcast just next to us with the hamster.  Tag was not quite sure what to think about it!
Reading - I love that he will stop in the middle of playing just to flip through his books!
Costco grocery shopping!
We took a trip out to Coral Cliffs to see the baby chicks! Tag loved them...maybe a little too much! We had to talk about trying to be soft with them because he was so excited he tried to squeeze them!
Working on being soft!
After we were done with the chicks we decided to go look at some furniture for the new house! We were so excited when we got word that the new apartment was ours! Jason and I were very blessed when we were married to have many people give us furniture so that we didn't have to spend money that we probably didn't have to furnish our home.  After almost 6 years of marriage though we decided that with the move we would be buying a few things to replace some of the hand-me-downs and make it a little more "ours." Tag loved the Taxi shopping cart that they had at Boulevard furniture!
Messy boy eating some spaghetti for dinner!
I love that Tag sleeps with his bum up in the air! So cute!
Easter is just around the corner but this little man was not too enthused about being the Easter bunny!
Playing is what this kiddo does best! Well that and being a little sassy!
I finally caught Tag's "mad face" on camera! When he gets really upset he clenches his fists and shuts his eyes really tight!
Happy bath baby!
Tag tuckered himself out playing one morning and laid down to have a little nap!
More books!
Tag playing with Sammy at volleyball kids camp!
Feeding the ducks at playgroup at a park by the new house! We are so excited to move the first of next month!
Ball boy at kids camp!
Tag's birthday! This last year has flown by!! Tag had a big birthday this year because not only was it his birthday but it was his first Easter as well!! Look at how little my mini man used to be!! It is hard to even remember him being that small some days!
The night before Jason and I set everything all set up for the Easter/Birthday extravaganza!
You can see his birthday (spoiled rotten I tell ya!) all wrapped under the window and his Easter sitting over on the couch!
The Easter bunny dropped by!!
Tag was excited about everything when he woke up the next morning!

Easter basket fun!
Then we had sprinkle pancakes just for the birthday boy! Such a lucky dude!
My happy one year old! What!?! How do I have a one year old!?
Tag looked handsome as ever for Easter Sunday!
His Grandma Staley made him the cute tie that he is wearing!
After church it was cupcake time! Tag devoured it!
Jason of course had to work that evening (Easter and Tag's birthday! What a bummer!) Tag and I decided that no one wants to work on the holidays so we made Easter cupcakes for all the nurses on his floor and took them to Jason that work as a surprise for everyone!
Jason was excited to see Tag! I even let him wear his shirt for his birthday party next week!
Sleepy cuddles.
Out like a light!
Happy little man riding in his stroller!
Consignment store find! Some days we get really lucky! These were some of my favorite books when I was little!
Then it was finally party time! We had to go up north for Jason's finals the week after Tag's birthday so we decided to hold off and have his party up there with all of our friends and family! Kye was gracious enough to take some picture for us while Mimi and Grandma Staley both helped with some of the food! Thanks to everyone who came and helped celebrate our little guy!!
Tag's party invite!
Everything was construction themed. I had tons of fun putting everything together!
Baked potato bar.
Blake and Katie were some of the friends that were able to come!
Daddy with the birthday boy!
Lots of friends and family were able to come and celebrate his big day with us!
Papa & Brynn

Opening gifts! Tag started to figure out the whole process but still needed a little help!
Alphabet letters from Aunt Dani and Uncle Trevor
....and animal blocks from them as well!
Grandma and Grandpa Smellie were able to make it!
The Allen clan skyped into the party!
Tag's cute birthday shirt!
A stacking toy from Grandma and Grandpa Smellie.
Construction zone race track from aunt Heather and uncle Steve!
A wallet with cards in it from Bret and Kye! (This was a really cute thoughtful gift because Tag always tries to steal Jason's wallet to play with his cards.  We truly have the best friends anyone could ask for!)
A puppy from Mimi and Papa!
A tunnel from Grandma and Grandpa Staley.
Playdoh construction truck from Mimi and Papa!
Tag's quiet book! It took me 4+ months to make but I got it finished for the party and love how it all came together!
(Off to the side in this picture you can see the cute trucks that Blake and Katie gave Tag!)
Cake time!

Tag kept dipping his finger in the frosting but didn't really want to dive in and eat it!
Just as a side note we borrowed the cute highchair that Tag is sitting in from my Aunt Lori - It was the high chair that was at Grandma Marie's and Grandpa Bud's all growing up! I love it~!
Happy birthday boy!
I love that grin!
An his sassy faces too! What a silly kiddo!
The cake!
Cousins playing with Chloe.
Leisha made these cute hard hat and construction cone cake pops! They were adorable and even more delicious!
After the party we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Staley's for a few days while Jason took his finals.
Nothing better than a good box!
Fishing in the bath tub with daddy!
My post bath kisses for this little puppy!
Tag climbing all over the party supplies- we had packed quite a haul to throw the party up north but it was all worth it to celebrate Tag's big day!
This dancing hampster is one of Tag's favorites toys at Grandma and Grandpa Staley's!
Silly boy!
Loves to play with the car seat buckles!
We got Tag's birthday pictures back from Tawny! He is such a handsome dude!
Thanks Tawny! You are the best!

Big bear at Scheel's.
and fish too!
Best buddies!
This month has definitely been one to remember!
