December 2013

I was very excited for December this year! The holidays are so much more magical with kids and although I know that Tag didn't really have any idea what was going on we had a ton of fun celebrating with him! December also means Christmas break so we get a little bit of extra time with Jason!! Tag thought that putting up the Christmas tree was pretty cool! Really he just liked the ornaments so he and Jason played with a few while I decorated the tree!
Luckily all of our ornaments are plastic so I didn't have to worry about Tag attacking the tree!
Showing Tag the Christmas tree all decorated and turned on!
My little man!!
We attended Jason's work Christmas party for Gamma West! Tag got to see Santa again! - He didn't have a complete come apart but also wasn't so sure about letting Santa hold him.
Sitting with Jason at the Christmas party.
Jason and I discovered the best hotdog truck ever in St. George, they are so yummy!!
Tag loves to bounce in his Johnny Jump Up!

Jason always finds funny things for Tag when we are out and about! Tag thought that trying on these sunglasses was pretty funny!
Hanging out with dad by the christmas tree was one of Tag's favorite December activities!
Sleepy boys!
I love our Christmas tree!
Facetime with our buddy Ezra!!
Smiles!
Playing with some snow in St. George - Jason and I have been amazed at the snow here this year!
At the hardware store buying christmas lights for the house!
Our humble abode!
Jason was so excited to show Tag our Christmas light that he just plopped him right into his jacket and took him outside to see them!! I absolutely LOVE watching these two together!!
Pictures with all three of us are few and far between!
Tag loved looking at the lights
Playing with his carseat buckles is always a favorite as well!
I think I redecorated the bottom of the tree almost everyday and rearranged the gifts under the tree just as many times! Tag loved trying to steal the ornaments and the gifts!
Tag experienced playing in the snow for the first time this month! We had THE CRAZIEST SNOW STORM EVER!!!.....well for St. George that is.  We got about 10'' of snow which is quite a bit anywhere you go but for St. George it was crazy! The town literally shut down! Tag loved playing in it though and even tried to eat it!
Jason built him his own little snowman!
This picture is the epitome of St. George snow storm, Jason in short sleeves....Tag playing in the snow. Silly boys!
Tag knocked the snowman over and then decided he needed to eat him!

Tag's "First Christmas" ornament! So cute!
stealing gifts....again!
Tag gets bigger and bigger everyday! It is so much fun to watch him grow, learn and play!
New big boy carseat!
Checking it all out...making sure he approves of mommy and daddies decision.
Curly bathtub hair!
Playing with the Christmas hippopotamus.
Helping me get Dani, Dexter and Ezra's gifts packaged and mailed off to Michigan.
For Christmas this year Jason and Tag surprised me with a trip to Salt Lake to see the lights at Temple Square, the Zoo lights and stay in a cool condo right at city creek! I loved the surprise!! I couldn't have asked for a better gift than extra time with my boys for Christmas!!
Tag loved looking out the window at all of the big buildings!
It was pretty cold so we had to make sure that we kept Tag all bundled up warm!
Walking around City Creek!
Tag loved the Disney store...
...so much so that I think he wore himself out!
The first night that we were there we went to the lights at temple square with Bret and Kye! We loved getting a chance to visit with them!! After seeing the lights we walked around city creek a little more, then ordered The Cheesecake Factory to go and ate up in our condo while Tag played! Such a great night!
The next morning we slept in and just lounged around for a while!
Then we ventured over to The Gateway and Jason let Tag try a bite of his ice cream!
That evening we went to the zoo lights with Steve, Heather, Jack and Brynn!
Bundled up trying to stay warm! Tag was my little heater! wrapped up to me like that we both stayed toasty warm!
The whole family!
After the zoo lights we stopped at Chili's for dinner then went back to the condo to enjoy one more evening of relaxation and the view!
The last morning that we were there we got breakfast at Kneaders and then hit the road! I think that one of Tag's favorite parts may have been waving to the big trucks at the gas station when we stopped to fill up the car! All in all it was a great little get away!
The night that we returned back from Salt Lake we had the end of year volleyball banquet..apparently the only picture that I have is again with Lexi! - She is amazing!! Along with all of our other girls as well!
Jason is still working weekend graveyard shifts so it can get a little lonely on the weekends occasionally but luckily our friends Juan and Shea have the same schedule as us so while Jason and Juan are at work Shea and I often get together with the kids!
Our Christmas card this year.
We saw Santa one last time this year out at the Big Red Barn with Mimi and Papa when they came into town for Christmas!
Tag really wasn't so sure that he was all that fond of Santa this time!
We were so excited that we got to have Mimia and Papa at our house for Christmas this year! With Courtney on her mission, us in St. George and Dani and Trevor in Michigan they would have been all alone this year so they decided to travel to us! They came to our house for a few days and then the day after Christmas flew out to Michigan to be with Dani and Trevor for a few days as well!
Breakfast at Tiffiny's on Christmas Eve.
Opening up Christmas Eve pj's!
Saying goodbye to daddy as he left for work on Christmas Eve! - We missed him that night even more than normal!
Playing in Christmas pj's before heading off to bed!
And one last picture with my little man on Christmas Eve!
The next morning we knew that Santa had arrived major! Between Santa, Mimi and Papa, Smeillie family gifts, Griffiths family gifts, Grandma and Grandpa Staley, and Staley family gifts it was a big Christmas and Tag was MORE than spoiled!!
Jason home from work on Christmas morning!!
Tag's first Christmas!! I was so excited to celebrate the day with him!!
After sleeping in a little so that Jason could get some sleep and waiting for Mimi and Papa to arrive we were finally ready to open gifts!
Jason, Tag and their stockings!
That day we also got to Skype with Courtney! It was fun to get to talk with her and hear how she was doing! Her spanish is really coming along and she looked great! It was great that we were able to figure out a three way video call with Utah, Michigan and Argentina so that we could all talk together!!
Opening more gifts on Christmas day! Tag's pj's got a little warm for him so he was a diaper baby for a while that day!
Race track from Mimi and Papa!
Cookie jar sorting toy from Layla~!
Pony from Grandma and Grandpa Staley.
By the end of the day Tag was very tired! It was a great day but I think that the blank stare in his face in this next picture kids of shows that he was exhausted by the end of the day!!
The next day he was excited to play with all of his new toys!!
Sleepy cuddles are the best!
Christmas lights at the St. George temple  - we didn't make it over before Christmas but we still wanted to take Tag to see the pretty lights!
Playing with his barn from Ezra - Tag loves this barn. He loves to open and close the doors which makes music play and then he will dance to the music!
Cuddling with mommy!
Wrestling with daddy!
For New Years eve this year we took Tag swimming up at the town home and then came home and put him to bed! haha party animals I tell ya!! Jason and I stayed up after putting Tag down to play some games and watch the ball drop!
2013 has been a year that we will never forget! Jason got on at IHC as a nurse, was accepted into his Doctoral Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Utah, graduated with his BSN and started his DNP program this fall.  I finished teaching at Coral Cliffs, officially retired from teaching, became a stay at home mom and coached another season of volleyball. Tag made his big entrance into the world and has pretty much run the show ever since. 2013 has taught us a lot of good lessons and left just as many lasting memories! 2013 was a great year! We look forward to what 2014 has to bring us!
