We had such a great Christmas break! It was fun to see family and spend some time with each other as well. Jason just got on full time at the hospital (yahoo!!) but this means that his schedule is even crazier with 3 jobs and 23 credits this semester! Plus the baby is due about 2 weeks before finals so things are a little crazy to say the least! With all of that plus everything in my life right now we somehow managed to escape up north for 10 days and loved every minute!!
We started the week with Bret & Kye in Salt Lake, we walked around City Creek, Temple Square, and ate dinner at The Copper Onion. The food was beyond delicious and we had a fun catching up with with Bret & Kye!!
(This is like the blurriest picture ever but apparently it is the only one that I took of Jason and I that night so here it is!)
Beautiful Temple!
Love these two!
Jason enjoying his dinner.
This is a picture of my dinner - seriously to die for!!
The next day was jam packed with family time! We had the Larsen family party in Murray that morning and again I wasn't great at pulling out my camera but luckily Jason took a picture of the cutest one at the party! We loved getting to spend time with our nieces and nephews over the break!! We miss them so much!
After we were done in Murray we hoped in the car and hustled to Preston for the Smellie family party.
Santa & Mrs. Claus showed up and everyone had to sit on their lap!
Trevor, Dani & Dexter
Dexter was not such a fan!!!
Jack and Brynn - it really is great that we share both families together so that we get to spend double the time with one another!!
We then spent a day or two in Logan prepping for Christmas and just being with the family. It was fun to spend time with everyone but especially Trevor, Dani and Dexter since we don't get to see them very often now that they are in Michigan.
The next few pictures are from Christmas Eve. Dexter was a hoot to watch and made Jason and I excited to see christmas through a child's eyes - I can't believe that our little munchkin will be 8 months old by next Christmas!!
Dexter made sure that Santa was well fed!
The cookies for Santa were a little packed!!
The reindeer were also on the list - he had to pull out the carrots for them to enjoy!
After he got things all set out we headed off to bed. We were so excited the next morning to find out that Santa had come! Dexter was cute to watch that day and loved opening all of his presents.
I think that this is the only picture that I snapped on Christmas morning - we were to busy enjoying everyones company to take pictures apparently!
Jason was excited that Santa brought him a Desert Hills State Champion sweatshirt.
The rest of the pictures are from the days following Christmas in no particular order.
Courtney was thrilled to get her first letter from Spencer.
Dexter played with all of his toys from Santa.
Jason and Dexter were cute buddies on this trip. Dexter loves his Uncle J - He doesn't however always love getting his picture taken haha he really doesn't mind it he just won't stop for two seconds for anyone to snap one lol!
Dani and I enjoyed feeling the babies wiggle around and have since realized that we really suck at life because this is the only picture that we took of the two of us together haha oh well! These little ones are so close in age (about a whopping 2 weeks apart) hopefully they will be little buddies!!
Jason and I lounged around in our Christmas pj's a lot over the break it was great!!
One of our days spent in Logan we went bowling with the family and to The Blue Bird for dinner. We all had fun bowling but my dad I believe had the most fun! - He bowled 9 strikes that evening and scored in the 200's!! He was very proud! - We all laughed hysterically and it was a great memory!!
After our time in Logan we headed to Kaysville for a day or two. This is a picture of Steve aka Optimus Prime in the mask that we gave Jack for Christmas - Jack is holding the nerf gun that goes with it. Jason was so excited to give him his gift and Jack definitely loved it!
We went to the Zoo Lights one evening with Steve and Heather it was FREEZING that night and I tried to lose my phone by leaving it in the bathroom, luckily someone honest handed it into the lost and found.
Steve, Heather, Jack and bundled up Brynn
Brynn had about 8 layers on but at least she was warm!
Jason, Jack and I.
The 2 and 1/2 members of our family.
Love this boy- (he is wearing his new coat that he got for Christmas, he really needed an upgrade!)
Best buds.
Bald Eagle.
Jackson our little Polar Bear.
Jason and I in the light tunnel.
Reptile house.
Jason and Brynn saying their goodbyes as we got ready to leave for the evening.
(Isn't he going to be a cute daddy!!)
The following day we had the Griffiths family party at the Bunnel's. Bingo was a hit as always and it was fun to catch up with family that we don't see often enough!
After 10 days it was sad to say goodbye to everyone but we loved getting to see and visit with so many family and friends!
