Well the weekend of July 9-11 was full of lots of fun/craziness – We had four things on Saturday that we had to be at and so we managed to squeeze them all in but it was a little crazy. The Weekend started out Thursday evening at the Smellie family reunion at the cabin – this is always a fun weekend! – I wasn’t to good at snapping any pictures because we were to busy having fun but I did manage to get a few at the museum that we went to see in Montpelier – It was all about the Oregon trail – it was really fun to learn more about it and even get to go on our own wagon ride.
Saturday was mass chaos – we started the day still at the cabin in Bear Lake with the family reunion – then at 11:00 we had to be in Lake Town for a Mountain West Volleyball reunion with my team that I coached this year- I LOVED my girls this year – they were all hard workers, got along excellent and just a good group of girls, it was really fun to get to see them all again!

Next came my cousin Bryn’s reception – we left the volleyball party at 2:30 thinking that we were giving ourselves ample time to get to Draper for the reception at 6:30….Boy were we wrong! – We decided that since we were already in Lake Town it would be faster to go through Evanston and then down through Parley’s ….Wrong-O~! We hit construction through Parley’s and it took us 2 hours to get from the outlets to the bottom of the canyon – needless to say we arrived at the reception at 6:45. Unfortunately this meant that we didn’t get to spend as much time at the reception as I would have liked but trust me, it was beautiful!

Our last adventure for the day took us to Holladay – we arrived here at 7:40 and I was relieved it was our last stop of the day! Courtney & Brayden were nice enough to let all of us (my CEU team and our husbands) hang out at their house for a barbecue and some catch up! – Jennie just got home from her mission so it was fun to see her again and just be with all the girls! We all had so much fun that we were there until 2:30! – We finished the day back in Logan (about 4:45 a.m.) and both crashed!
Crazy weekend…yes! – But definitely worth it!
