Happy 24th!

We celebrated the 24th yesterday since it fell on a Sunday this year.  We had a lot of fun and had a few new adventures! The day started out kind of chill around the house, and then we headed to our favorite Red Robin for lunch. After lunch the real party started! Jason and I drove to New Harmony to spend the day with the Payne Gang! - The Payne's have been good family friends forever, (okay well not forever but we are third generation friends so I think that is quite a while!)  We call each other cousins but technically we're not related.  The Payne's are the type of friends that you greet with a hug, a big smile and a millions stories even though we unfortunately sometimes go a while with out seeing one another.  We love this family and are thrilled that we now only live a short drive away so that we can hopefully get together a little more often.  The celebration started with a "parade" now think little town folks, I mean...really little town! There were probably 5-8 entries in the parade, but no worries they looped around so that we got to see them twice just in case we missed the first time! haha The few entries included the ward young women in a truck, the ward relief society on a trailer and the missionaries. It surprisingly was actually really fun though! - The Jacoby boys (part of the Payne gang) won the best entry award (in our opinion) though for their "Pioneer Boys at Play" trailer.  Nicole and Lee have 8 boys, yes that is right 8 boys ranging in age from 2-17, they're all great kids and really fun to be around!
Jacoby Boys - look at how muddy they are!
Oops...I almost forgot there was also a tractor in the parade!
Jason and I waiting round for the parade, we laughed wondering if there would be anyone to watch the parade since most of the town was in it.  But there was actually a decent crowd considering we were in New Harmony.
Jaci & Olivia (Gina's girls, more of the Payne gang) rode their bikes in the parade.  These two are the cutest things ever - I love them!
After the parade the town, a.k.a the ward put on a dinner, the food was yummy but the watermelon was everyone's favorite part!
 Olivia enjoying her treat!
Vic loved the watermelon as well!
After dinner there was a friendly game of football.
Jason getting in on the game!
And then last but certainly not least dancing! When we heard they were going to have dancing everyone was a bit hesitant but it turned out to be a blast! - We learned how to swing dance a little, did some square dancing and even the limbo and macarena! (sp?) We had a blast and danced till it was dark! Thanks for the invite Payne's we loved seeing everyone and had tons of fun!
