October 1-6

I am going to try and be better at updating the blog a little more regularly (like i haven't said that before!) Baby steps! This week was a goof one at our house! We started the week back home from being up north for Melissa and Nick's wedding but quickly had to turn back around and drive to Kaysville on Wednesday for Jason to be on campus Thursday and Friday for school.  (we have made that drive way too many times!) 

Story time with my buddy before bed! Oh how I love to read this little one all of our books and now that this week officially marks it being October we even pulled out all of our Halloween books! 

 Tag trying to swipe treats at the car dealership while we were getting the oil in the car changed.  He kept pointing to the orange and saying "ball." Tag's vocabulary increases every day!! He is starting to pick up on so many things and has more words than we would be able to count.  Some of my favorite that he says right now are "stuck," "A-men" haha he really carries his "a" in amen, "broke" and also "cheese!" when I try and get him to smile!

 On our way back north! Tag has loved that Buzz toy that Mimi bought him and takes it almost everywhere we go! He has even been caught giving him kissing and sharing his snacks with Buzz!

 One of the mornings while Jason was at class Tag, Leisha and I went on a walk.  Tag was excited to see the horses!

 We got to stop at a few different places to see them.  Tag kept saying "nay!"

 Tag loves chairs that are his size.  Really anything that is the right height for him to sit on! He will sit down and says "chair!" Grandma has a chair that is just Tag's size! It was Great Grandma Staley's (Don's moms) and Jason used to always sit in it when he was little at her house! Tag was watching his movie in it one day at the house and tipped over....apparently he thought it was comfy though, or was too intrigued with his movie to care because he just laid there for a few minutes afterwards! Silly boy!

Out to eat at Pepper's in Kaysville! Tag was being such a ham this night! He really is starting to have such a funny sense of humor! 

 Back home! Yay! Spending a little time with daddy before he had to go to work....I promise we don't watch this show everyday!! Ahh!

 Shortly after Jason left for work on Saturday our power went out.  We have had an issue with our main breaker flipping a few times and sure enough that's what it was again! Luckily I knew how to flip in but shortly after turning our power back on it popped again! So I walked outside and reset it and a few minutes later it flipped again!! This happened 7 times in about one hour all the while I was on the phone with our contractors trying to get an electrician out to the house late on a Saturday night to figure out what was going on! The last time that I went out to flip it on at about 7:30 it was SO HOT when I touched it!! I didn't dare turn it back on afraid that we were going to have a fire from it so Tag and I had a movie night on the I-Pad in the dark until the electrician came! I guess that we had a faulty breaker and he just had to switch it out, by about 9:45 we had power again!

 General conference shenanigans! Trying to keep this kiddo busy so that we could listen took a little bit of effort!

 I think Tag was calling President Monson here. haha!

 Sunday evening after conference we played canasta with Mimi and Papa.(Papa has to be in Vegas this week for work) We have played millions {only a small exaggeration} of games of canasta with Mimi and Papa this summer and Jason and I have gotten out behinds whooped every single time!! Tonight we were able to pull through with a win though so it had to be documented!

 Late Sunday evening this also happened! We are excited for Wes and Jessie and happy to welcome Wes into the family!

September 2014

A day at the mall! Jason and I ran over to the mall so that I could try and find some new glasses, we found a few that I like, however these were the best glasses ever!! Too bad they were $50 dollars! Otherwise I would have bought them for him! He looks SO SO handsome!! 

Of course if we stop by the mall that means we need to go into Barnes & Noble and play with the train table!

Movie night! This was Tag's first late night.  Jason had a day without homework (rare! very rare!) so we decided to have a movie night with the little man! Tag would barely stop eating the popcorn long enough to snap a picture! 

We had a CRAZY  rainstorm in St. George it caused some serious flooding in some places.  We got a lot of rain but luckily our place is on high enough ground we were able to just watch the flooding vs fearing it!

Tag's First hair cut! I loved Tag's long curls but they started getting in the biggest rats nests in the back and he would fight me so hard on combing them out so we finally decided it was time for his first cut.  It turned out great and he is even still curly! I was worried that his curls were going to go away!

Tag is my big helper! He especially loves helping with the laundry.  I will hand him the wet clothes from the washer and he tosses them in the dryer for me! When he is all finished he closes the door and says "beep, beep, beep, beep" while he closes the door. So cute!

This month I got a new job that I am kind of over the top excited about! I am the newest Dating Diva. I love everything that the Divas start for and can't wait to get started!

Poor baby! Tag had a fever of 104.2! Luckily we were able to break that pretty quick but he stayed in the mid 100's for a while!

Family movie night! Jason finished his homework early tonight so wee decided to have a family movie night. I popped popcorn and picked a few possible movies while Jason put Tag's pj's on. When they came down stairs I asked Jason which movie we should watch and Tag said "Buzz!" Jason and I both looked at each other and laughed! We did not know that he knew who Buzz was! 

 I got really excited for October so I decided to put up all of the Halloween decorations and built Tag's October sensory bin early.  

 The wooden figures that are in his bin this month are ones that my Grandma Marie painted. I love all of the little reminders that I have of her! 

 Playing on the porch is a favorite these days! Especially since it is getting cooler!

 Snow Canyon vs Desert Hills.  It was fun to be back in the gym.  I miss seeing the girls but I am glad that I am home this year instead of dragging Tag to practice everyday! We decided to go watch the Snow Canyon vs. Desert Hills game this month and when we showed up Jill asked me if I would do lines.  One of their refs had left and they didn't want a played doing them.  I said I could if Jason was ok with tackling Tag alone during the game.  He of course said yes and so I did lines while Jason followed Tag as he ran a marathon across the bleachers for most of the game!

 Friday was all about the wedding.  The day was beautiful and Melissa of course was a stunning bride! We are so happy for Nick and Melissa! 

 Cody got put on "baby duty" while I was helping Sarah set up the reception.....of course he decided that tree climbing was the most kid friendly activity! Haha we love Cody!

 Saturday was a rainy day so Mimi, Papa, Tag and I decided to take a drive to Brigham to get some lunch from Maddox! This is a picture of Tag chilling in his seat with all of his prizes from our trip! He scored a Thomas phone, a James train and a Buzz!

 Sunday morning Tag and I got up and made the drive back home.  When we arrived home we were very excited to see Jason after being away for a few days.  I was surprised to find pretty flowers that J had bought to welcome me home! I scored big time with this fellow! Love that man of mine!!
